If you don’t own one, there are a few simple ways to make a rose cookies using a hand mixer or a food processor.
You can also use a food-safe wooden spoon and a pastry bag.
You’ll need: 1 tbsp butter (use coconut, or margarine) 1 tsp ground almonds 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 tsp sugar 1 cup of flour 1 cup sugar, plus more for dusting the rose cookies A rose doughnut moulding, which you can purchase for about $10 at a hardware store.
Mould the rose doughnuts in the electric mixer bowl.
Add the butter, almonds and vanilla.
Mix until combined.
Add more flour and sugar if the doughnuts are too dry.
Turn the mixer off and add the flour mixture and sugar.
Mix on low until the mixture is smooth and the mixture begins to turn into a sticky, but not too runny consistency.
Mix in the rose mixture.
Transfer the doughnut doughnuts to a bowl and cover with cling film to prevent them from sticking.
Cover the mould with a tea towel and chill for 30 minutes.
If using a pastry bowl, heat up a frying pan and add oil to the pan.
Fry the rose balls until golden brown and remove from the heat.
Serve the rose cookie doughnuts warm.
